How a major German municipality used webAI to track startups.

In a nutshell

A major German municipality wanted to assess the current status of former tenants from their startup centers, including business activities and registration details. We used our webAI technology to update and enrich their data, analyzing company statuses, hyperlink structures, and generating industry classifiers and activity descriptions. The outcome is a detailed Excel file providing insights into these companies' current domains, business profiles, and online presence.

What was the challenge?

The client wants to gain insights into former tenants of startup centers. Are those companies still active? Where are they registered and active now? What is their industry classification code? These are some of the questions our client faced.

How did we help?

We enriched the data provided by the German Municipality (a list of URLs) by using our webAI technology to gather information on the current status of each URL and the place of company registration. We then conducted a network analysis to determine the networking of the startups. Additionally, we generated industry classifiers (WZ08) and concise AI-generated activity descriptions for all companies in the dataset.

How did we add value?

We created an Excel file that includes the latest data on former tenants from all startup centers within our client’s city. This detailed file contains information on their current domains, places of registration, the number and structure of hyperlinks, industry classifiers, and AI-generated activity descriptions.
